Inflation is rearing its ugly head and the Federal Reserve is going to have to contain it. The result will be higher home mortgage rates. There are many other factors that help set mortgage rates that I won't go into here, but most of these factors indicate rising rates in the future. That is something to fear. High rates make even an average price home unaffordable to average buyers.
